Daniel Ricciardo begins a new chapter in his Formula 1 career with McLaren in 2021, after a disappointing spell with Renault. The Australian is still regarded as one of the best drivers on the current F1 grid despite his last win coming at the 2018 Monaco Grand Prix, nearly three years ago.

On fresh tyres, Ricciardo overtook Kimi Raikkonen, Hamilton, teammate Max Verstappen, Sebastian Vettel and Valtteri Bottas to go from sixth into the lead following a safety car restart.
